Sony ZV-E10 shutter count
See whether Sony ZV-E10 can expose a shutter count in an original photo, supported formats, field confidence, troubleshooting and used-camera checks.
Can a Sony ZV-E10 shutter count be read from a photo?
Verified with real files processed by this service — This service has read count fields from some sampled photo files, not every body, firmware version or file.
- Recommended formats
- ARW / JPEG
Use an unedited camera original with EXIF/MakerNotes intact. - Observed readings within the recommended formats
- ARW ·
MakerNotes:ShutterCount· Total count
JPEG ·MakerNotes:ShutterCount· Total count
These anonymous samples do not verify every recommended format or shooting mode. - Internal EXIF model names
- ZV-E10
Interpret the source field and count type together; a total is not a separate mechanical or electronic shutter reading. A shutter count alone cannot establish photo authenticity, camera condition or remaining life.
Reading notes for this model

- Model names inside files
- An original from Sony ZV-E10 may identify the camera as ZV-E10. Use these internal names to check the model in your file; this name reference does not imply a separate parser for every model.
- Preferred verification file
- Prefer a fresh ARW copied directly from the same body. A JPEG is useful only when editing or messaging software has not removed its MakerNotes.
- Count-field rule
- Read ShutterCount / ImageCount separately and retain the source field and confidence. Different counters are neither added together nor assumed to represent the same mechanical action.

Observed sample readings
These format and field combinations returned a positive count in the sampled records. This is not a compatibility guarantee for every body, firmware or file.
- Parser-reported format
ARW - Observed field:
MakerNotes:ShutterCount
Service count classification: Total count
Field-reading confidence: High - Parser-reported format
JPEG - Observed field:
MakerNotes:ShutterCount
Service count classification: Total count
Field-reading confidence: High
Recommended RAW/JPEG formats are not all necessarily sample-verified. Confidence comes from the service’s field-interpretation rules, not a statistical success rate or an assessment of photo authenticity or camera condition. A total count is not a separate mechanical or electronic reading when those fields have not been observed.
Original-file settings and targeted checks
Smartphone transfer offers original-size or 2M JPEG; for RAW+JPEG captures, the transfer target can be JPEG only, RAW only, or both. Sony settings guide (English)
Our checking advice
Original image size and RAW transfer target are separate settings; a full-size JPEG is not an ARW. Check the actual format and target, then compare with an untouched card original copied through a reader if reading fails. Do not apply the A6000 RAW-to-JPEG rule to this model or assume every phone-transfer path preserves counter fields.
Support boundary
Mechanical shutter count, total shutter count and ImageCount are not interchangeable. Pocket Shutter shows the source field and confidence; ImageCount is a usage clue, not automatic proof of mechanical actuations. Anonymous sample snapshot: September 7, 2026
Shutter guideIf no count appears
- Confirm that the target camera created the file.
- Try the RAW original and check that EXIF and MakerNotes remain intact.
- Check the applicable camera limitations; a missing count does not mean the camera is unused.
Used-camera checklist
- Match the model and body serial number to the camera being sold.
- Treat the count as one clue alongside sensor, shutter curtain, ports, repair history and a real shooting test.
